Insurance and Payment
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most commercial insurance plans as well as Medicaid. Please contact our office to verify coverage and confirm any co-pays or out-of-pocket costs.
Do I have to pay anything out of pocket?
Your out-of-pocket responsibility depends on the type of services you are seeking, your insurance type and provider, and whether or not your deductible has been met. For therapy services, commercial insurances usually require a copay ranging anywhere from $10 – $50+ depending on plan and provider. Clients with Medicaid insurance do not have any out-of-pocket cost for therapy unless their insurance terminates, or they switch to a commercial plan. Some services, such as equine interactions are never billed through insurance and will always be paid out of pocket. Lastly, some insurances require a deductible to be met before they start covering services. The amount of deductible varies based on plan and provider but can range from $0 to well over $1,000+. We perform a check for deductible as a courtesy during our verification of benefits process, but the client is ultimately responsible for knowing and paying their deductible amount. After the amount of the deductible has been paid out of pocket, insurance will start covering sessions and charging a copay or co-insurance fee according to your insurance plan.
What if I don’t have insurance?
We offer affordable self-pay options for individuals without insurance. Our team can discuss these options with you during your initial consultation.
How do I pay for sessions?
During the intake process, we securely save your payment information in our encrypted, payment card industry compliant system and automatically bill the amount of your patient responsibility as dictated by your insurance company or self-pay plan. We also accept cash for those without a payment card.
I am insured through Medicaid, why do you need my credit card?
Medicaid patients typically have no out of pocket costs, however, we still require a credit card on file as company policy. Sometimes a Medicaid client transitions to a commercial plan or self-pay, this policy ensures that there are no interruptions in care due to a balance incurred during this transition.

Please bring your insurance card, photo ID, and any completed intake forms. If you have any prior mental health records or assessments, those may be helpful as well.
Why do I need to put a down-payment on testing and assessment services?
Testing and assessment services are very time-consuming for our clinicians and involve an intake session, test administration, report writing, and a results review session. In some cases, we require a downpayment to ensure there is no interruption in care during this process.
